Published: Tuesday 11th November 2008
Locals and visitors looking for festive cards and gifts with a special touch of local colour should pay a visit to Rugby Visitor Centre over the coming weeks leading up to Christmas.
The Visitor Centre has a range of bespoke Christmas cards available for sale showing snowy seasonal scenes of Rugby and the surrounding area, along with the 'Scenes around Rugby' 2009 calendar. Scenes include the town centre, Rugby School, Caldecott Park, local churches and villages, and nearby countryside. The Visitor Centre also has a range of gifts to choose from related to the local area, from rugby footballs to a selection of books on Rugby's heritage.
Councillor Neil Campbell, Rugby Borough Council portfolio holder for Culture, said: 'This is an ideal opportunity for people to give a card or gift with a local feel to it. It's so good to see the beauty of Rugby celebrated in this way.'
